First Commandment - There is no god but God

There is no god but God.

SUMMARY

The first commandment - you shall not worship except God - is the unifying aspect of all religions. Unfortunately, the majority of humans including those who claim to be religiously enlightened are unaware of this commandment. The unawareness of this commandment is the source of deep divisions and conflicts amongst religions. The attached image form the Quran translates as, "there is no god but God" and is central to the the message of worshipping God alone in The Final Testament (Quran).

First Commandment

The First Commandment in common to all scriptures - You shall not worship except God.

"Hear O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. Therefore you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength." [Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:29-30, Luke 12:29-30, Quran 3:81]

"Let us meditate on God, His glorious attributes, who is the basis of everything in this universe as its creator, who is fit to be worshipped as Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient...... “[Gayatri Mantra, Yajur Veda].

The Final Testament, the Quran proclaims the first commandment in various verses. Three of them are reproduced below.

"God bears witness that there is no God except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute God; there is no God but He, the Almighty, Most Wise." 3:18

"When they were told, "Laa Elaaha Ella Allah [There is no other God beside God]," they turned arrogant." 37:35

"You shall know that: "there is no other God beside God," and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. God is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny." 47:19

Unifying Factor

In this temporary world of ours, most of us seek unity among the humans and various religions. This possible unity and the unifying factor is the first commandment common in almost all the scriptures and religions.

However, in every religion, the first commandment has been buried by man-made fabrications. Examples of such fabrications are Trinity, a concept created 300 years after the death of Jesus; Mishnah / Gemarrah (for Jews) & Hadith / Sunnah (for Muslims), created a few hundred years after the death of the prophets of Jews and Muslims, etc.

In practice of all religions today; a basic pattern is followed - the opinion of the parents, scholars and the local preacher is followed without investigation and study of the scripture by individuals.

Majority of Humans unaware

The majority of those who claim to believe in God are not aware of the first commandment.

Thus the majority of humans fail to utter the proclamation of faith - there is no god but unless someone is associated next to God (e.g.: Muhammad for the Muslims and Jesus for the Christians).

No distinction amongst God's messengers

Most amongst the Christians and Muslims fail to uphold this crucial commandment from God.

"Say, "We believe in God, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."" 2:136

"The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in God, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers: "We make no distinction among any of His messengers." They say, "We hear and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny."" 2:285

"Say, "We believe in God, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."" 3:84

Proof

Our Creator has given the humans eyes to see, ears to hear and brains to think. It is logical that we as humans should use these God given faculties to question everything and not to accept anything unless we see proof and it appeals to our common sense.
Mercifully, God has given such a proof to our generation – the first computer generation. We have a mathematically coded message from our Creator which can be examined by anyone at anytime and verified using our God given faculties.

Submission

The proof comes with a declaration that anyone, whatever the name of their religion, if he/she can bring himself / herself to worship God Alone without associating anyone with God or next to God is a Submitter and is practicing the religion of Submission - the only religion approved by God. Thus if a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Hindu, etc can bring himself / herself to worship God within the confines of the first commandment he/she belongs to the family of worshippers of God Alone and will be redeemed to God's Kingdom in the Hereafter.
